Another excellent book

Short storiesThink book was a series of three unrelated short stories。 None were exceptional。 I do not think they were the level of intrigue I am used to from James Patterson。

I stopped reading James Patterson books when he stopped writing them。 These days he just slaps his name in large print on the covers, dwarfing the names of the true authors。 The few of these I read were terrible, so I vowed no more。 But I got this one as a gift so I had to at least try it。This book is actually three novellas, or short stories, not sure what the cutoff is, by three different authors。 I'm sure he wrote none of them because there aren't nearly enough words in italics。 The stories a I stopped reading James Patterson books when he stopped writing them。 These days he just slaps his name in large print on the covers, dwarfing the names of the true authors。 The few of these I read were terrible, so I vowed no more。 But I got this one as a gift so I had to at least try it。This book is actually three novellas, or short stories, not sure what the cutoff is, by three different authors。 I'm sure he wrote none of them because there aren't nearly enough words in italics。 The stories are actually pretty decent though。 There's not much substance to them, they are short after all, but this is a nice, light beach read。 There's a murder in each story but none of them are especially violent or gory。 I'm definitely not going to go out of my way to read any more books with Mr。 Patterson's name on them, but if you're looking for a nice cotton candy book (all fluff, no substance, but it tastes good in the moment), you could probably do worse。 。。。more

Fast read! Three short story’s

Louisa

There were 3 murders and each one had surprising endings。

Greer Andjanetta

A book of three short stories which are mildly interesting at best。 Low-quality writing with some glaring logic errors, one has to wonder why JP allowed his name to be associated with this work。

Katherine

Only read "Stingrays"。 Have previously read the other 2 stories in this collection。 Only read "Stingrays"。 Have previously read the other 2 stories in this collection。 。。。more

That was the most lame set of short stories I have ever read - a true waste of time

Leslie A

It was a couple of 3 quick short stories thatread rather quickly。

Laura

I almost always love James Patterson books。 However this one I really struggled with。 Three short stories and I was only able to complete too。 The second one called Nooners was just not interesting at all。 So I skipped it just so I can finish the book。 The first and third stories were better but very slow in the beginning。 I would say this was another slight let down by James Patterson mini stories。

Three interesting mysteriesEach book was interesting in and of itself。 Usual James Patterson stories。 Just as you think you know the ending bang a new surprise

This book had some moments that were hard to get through but also had some parts to the book that were shocking and had me hooked。 There were three parts to this book the first part was “Palm beach murders”。 This part was in my opinion the best one it was very shocking and I read it in 2 days。 The nooners was good but was harder to get through and didn’t have that much shock in it。The last part of the book was more disappointing then hooking I had a really hard time liking the stingrays part of This book had some moments that were hard to get through but also had some parts to the book that were shocking and had me hooked。 There were three parts to this book the first part was “Palm beach murders”。 This part was in my opinion the best one it was very shocking and I read it in 2 days。 The nooners was good but was harder to get through and didn’t have that much shock in it。The last part of the book was more disappointing then hooking I had a really hard time liking the stingrays part of the book and I had to read a different book in-between this book。 Overall the book had it’s good Parts and the plot and romance between the strangers in palm side beach murders had me hooked but other parts of this book just made me have a rough patch。 。。。more

Only read the first story!

Lynn

The first story ended abruptly albeit with a twist。 The second story was meh and the third was predictable from beginning to end。 I’m not sure Mr。 Patterson helped write any of these。 Maybe he just put his name on them for selling purposes? He can do better!

Redwine

Did not finish the 3rd story。

All of the stories in here are book shots。

Jane J。 Janas, Ph。D。

Enjoyed each of these three mysteries。 The firest was an introduction of the characters; the second was a continuation of a plot line with their views, and the third was the finish。

Marcus Latham

Three short novellas。 The first is like an R rated Lifetime movie, the second like a Colombo episode from the non detectives POV, and number three is an updated A-Team story

Tom Byers

Spoiler alert。。。。 The first story was okayThe second story less okay The finale was snoresville not okay 。。。。Quit while you are ahead 33% of the way doneNOT your typical Patterson material

Jen Heyer

Really enjoyed the first story。 I saw the ending coming however the journey getting there was full of twists! The last two stores were dull, making it 2 stars

Wed → The Palm Beach Murders (33 chapters): Disc(s) 1 - 3 (tracks 1 & 2);This story was the only decent one in the trilogy。Thu → Nooners (42 chapters): Disc(s) 3 (tracks 3 - 15) - 5 (tracks 1 - 7); This story is needlessly winding and atrocious。Fri → Stingrays (36 chapters): Disc(s) 5 (tracks 8 - 15) - 8。

James Patterson never disappoints and this was another excellent three short books by him and others。 My son picked this from the store for me and he's definitely picking more! If I had known this was another collection of novellas, I wouldn’t have gotten it from the library。 All three stories are too brief to be intriguing。
